KABULnftgamesfebruary2022, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- A total of 23,693 drug users have recovered after receiving medical treatment across Afghanistan in the past 12 months, the country's Ministry of Public Health said in a report on Saturday.

During the cited period, a total of 8.6 million children and mothers have received vaccines, indicating a 15-percent surge, said ministry official Sahibzada.

According to Sahibzada, the ministry collected 1,610 tonnes of outdated medicines, poor-quality items, and foodstuffs and set them on fire across the country during the period.■
